Navy seeks participants for 2017 Training Innovation Day
On August 2, the U.S. Navy announced its 2017 Training Innovation Day. Interested parties should provide abstracts before September 15.
This Final notice announces an upcoming 2017 Training Innovation Day hosted by the Commanding Officers of: Submarine Learning Center (SLC), Surface Warfare Officers School (SWOS), Center for Surface Combat Systems (CSCS), Center for Security Forces (CENSECFOR), Center for Naval Aviation Technical Training (CNATT), and Center for Information Warfare Training (CIWT). For maximum training community synergy, the Training Innovation Day will be co-located with the 2017 Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference (I/ITSEC), Orlando, FL.
The November 30, 2017 Training Innovation Day will afford selected participants the opportunity to present current and emerging training innovations to help shape future learning technology focus of the Submarine Learning Center (SLC), Surface Warfare Officers School (SWOS), and Center for Surface Combat Systems (CSCS), Center for Security Forces (CENSECFOR), Center for Naval Aviation Technical Training (CNATT), and Center for Information Warfare Training (CIWT).
Training innovations can include, but are not limited to, virtual and augmented reality simulations, mobile computing, open content, electronic books, gesture-based computing, adaptive learning, intelligent tutoring, increased automation and artificial intelligence simulation, and massive multiplayer online games (MMOG).
Training innovations may also encompass immersive virtual campus environments and distance learning as well as other educational innovations providing a flexible and powerful set of capabilities available to an instructor.
