TAPE names John Moore as Orlando-based capture director
Technical and Project Engineering, LLC (TAPE) announced on August 23 that retired Army officer John Moore has joined the company as capture director.
Moore will identify, qualify, and capture business development opportunities throughout the procurement lifecycle. He will also recommend business development, capture and marketing strategies to maximize client and market penetration. While Moore is based in the Orlando satellite office to grow TAPE’s ability to capture Department of Defense modeling and simulation and other core capability opportunities prevalent in Central Florida, he will pursue capture activities across the company portfolio, regardless of geographic location
Most recently, Moore served as senior manager of business development at defense contractor Leonardo DRS. Based at the Melbourne, FL office, he led U.S. Marine Corps business development and capture efforts for a mobile computing platform. He has held numerous Florida based government contractor business development leadership roles since 2006.
Before his business development career, Moore was a chief systems engineer for Army and U.S. Central Command projects. He also spent 23 years in the Army and Army Reserves as a logistician. He served in Operation Iraqi Freedom and earned the Bronze Star and Meritorious Service Medal.
“The shared vision and dedication of TAPE’s senior leadership makes me very excited to join the company at this time,” Moore said. “I am confident that I have the skills and experience to help TAPE improve capture on existing opportunities, broaden its pipeline of new opportunities, and win more work to support our nation’s warfighters and civilians.”
“The hiring of John Moore speaks to our current successful support for the Marines in Orlando, as well as the synergy between TAPE’s capabilities and military and civilian agency needs in the area.” TAPE President and CEO Louisa Long Jaffe stated. “The combination of John’s business development experience, industry contacts, technical expertise within TAPE’s capabilities, and military service will help us capture both recompetes and new work in the Orlando area and worldwide.”
