Air Force innovation leader Jen Sovada joins IC startup MissionTech Solutions
Air Force innovation leader and Forbes Top 50 AI in Government Influencer Colonel (Ret.) Jen Sovada is joining intelligence community start-up MissionTech Solutions as its new Chief Futures Officer and Senior Vice President / General Manager for the defense market. Sovada will focus on bringing MissionTech’s disruptive model for integrating new technologies into government to defense intelligence clients.
In her last job in the Air Force, Sovada served as Chief of Talent Management for the Deputy Chief of Staff for Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance and Cyber Effects Operations, where she was responsible for career development of 35,000 Airmen. Prior to leading talent management, she served as special assistant in charge of conducting outreach to the private sector where she fostered communication and transparency to enable improved DoD and Intelligence Community strategy development, acquisition, tech advancements and operational capability. Sovada previously served as the Wing Commander of the Air Force Technical Applications Center and as a Chief of Staff of the Air Force Fellow. She is a career intelligence officer.
“Jen will assist in leading our efforts to disrupt status quo contracting by pulling the best of commercial tech into government,” said MissionTech President Jeffrey Smeraglinolo.
