On September 30, Ocient and Shadow Nexus announced a new partnership that brings curated OSINT and publicly available information (PAI), delivered by Shadow Nexus, to OcientAIQ, giving national security organizations a faster path to continuous, full-fidelity search and analysis at petabyte scale. Designed for special operations, defense, intelligence, law enforcement, and federal civilian missions, the partnership enables agencies to search and analyze open-source intelligence alongside their own mission data and in their own environments, with the governance and control that modern operations require.
As open-source intelligence has become increasingly central to national security missions, fast, trusted analysis across diverse and growing sources is critical for maintaining decision advantage. Historically, as volumes have grown beyond the capacity of traditional architectures, agencies have been forced to sample or discard information to stay within system limits. Built to address that operational intelligence gap, the OcientAIQ Unified Data Platform provides customers with a governed data foundation for their most demanding workloads, enabling rapid ingest, analysis, and decision-making on both historical and newly acquired data.
“National-security analysts rarely have too little data; the challenge is connecting fragmented records quickly enough to support a decision,” said Vinny Troia, founder and CEO, Shadow Nexus. “Integrating Shadow Nexus data with OcientAIQ gives teams a controlled way to correlate hacked, breached, leaked, and publicly available information with their own holdings, without moving the mission into a separate investigative environment.”
Available on demand, as-a-service via API, or through bulk delivery, Shadow Nexus’s collection of PAI and OSINT datasets can be ingested directly into the OcientAIQ Unified Data Platform without additional engineering work. Once in the platform, analysts can correlate and query commercial datasets alongside existing mission holdings in a single environment, making it easier to identify patterns and activity across sources and surface critical signals needed for timely action. Additionally, with flexible deployment support across cloud, on-premises, hybrid, tactical, and air-gapped environments, OcientAIQ maintains end-to-end data sovereignty and security, ensuring that commercial and mission data remain under agency control wherever operations take place.
“Mission teams are managing more data from more sources than ever before, making complete, trusted analysis across every source critical for mission success,” said Thomas Hofmann, vice president of Ocient National Security Solutions (ONSS). “Our partnership with Shadow Nexus is evidence of our commitment to expanding the high-value data our customers can put to work on OcientAIQ.”
