On September 4, Summit 7 announced the acquisition of GRC Academy, an industry-leading training platform founded by cybersecurity professional Jacob Hill. The move expands Summit 7’s education and enablement portfolio for Defense Industrial Base (DIB) organizations navigating CMMC and broader federal compliance requirements.
Since its founding, GRC Academy has delivered practical, high-impact training to DIB professionals preparing for CMMC certification. The platform is known for its clear instruction, actionable guidance, and real-world examples tailored to small and mid-sized defense contractors.
Scott Edwards, CEO of Summit 7 said, “GRC Academy is a huge asset to the ecosystem, and we’re excited to expand it under the Summit 7 brand. This acquisition strengthens our collective ability to equip defense contractors not just with the right tools and managed services, but with the education they need to implement those tools effectively.”
Under the Summit 7 banner, GRC Academy’s training content will continue to serve current students throughout their enrollment period.
