Northrop Grumman names Tony Marceddo as head of Northrop Grumman M5 in Australia
Northrop Grumman Corp. announced on October 6 that Tony Marceddo has been named head of M5, within Northrop Grumman Australia.
Marceddo will report directly to Northrop Grumman Australia Chief Executive Ian Irving, with strategic responsibility to Shawn Purvis, cyber division of the Northrop Grumman Information Systems sector.
In this role, Marceddo will be responsible for leading the ongoing development and expansion of the company’s advanced Australian portfolio of secure communications capabilities and deepening capabilities and capacity across broad based cyber services and cyber consultancy offerings. Marceddo will also lead the expansion of Northrop Grumman M5’s secure communications export business opportunities across the international markets.

Marceddo joined Northrop Grumman from Raytheon Australia. He has spent the majority of his career in the intelligence and security fields of the Australia Defence Department. Marceddo started his career as a naval analyst and holds tertiary qualifications in management, project management and applied science.
Since the acquisition of M5 Network Security in August 2012, Northrop Grumman has integrated the M5 business into the Northrop Grumman family, both within the infrastructure of Northrop Grumman Australia and Northrop Grumman Information Systems in North America.
