On May 1, El Huntsville, AL-based Axient announced that it was awarded the Technical and Engineering Support (STS-3) task order to deliver services to the Space Systems Integration Office of Space Systems Command (SSC). The $94.5 million, five year contract, is a new prime task order to Axient.
“Axient is pleased to partner with SSC’s Space Systems Integration Office to continue the development of the future space enterprise. We are excited to continue providing expertise to SSC’s efficient and effective space system acquisition program and to define and integrate space programs for delivery to the Secretary of the Air Force and Chief of Space Operations’ Space Order of Battle and architectures,” said Patrick Murphy, president and CEO of Axient.
Axient will provide engineering and technical assistance to develop, deliver, and integrate the space enterprise in partnership with mission stakeholders, to support a multi-domain, contested fight. The services on the STS-3 Space Systems Integration Office contract enable collaborative innovation, analysis, technology, intelligence, cybersecurity, and investment baseline planning and integration while developing U.S Space Force digital models to be shared across international, DoD, industry, and other partners.
“The award of this STS-3 contract demonstrates SSC’s confidence in our team’s capabilities and capacity to ensure the Space Force delivers resilient, affordable, and sustainable space capabilities to the warfighter,” said Daniel Benjamin, senior vice president of Axient’s national security and space systems business segment.
Work will be primarily performed at Los Angeles Air Force Base in El Segundo, CA; Peterson Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, CA; and Buckley Space Force Base in Aurora, CO.
