Ultra I&C taps Jon Rucker as president, CEO
On November 21, Austin, TX-based Ultra Intelligence & Communications’ board of directors officially announced that Jon Rucker will take up the mantel of president and chief executive officer. Dan Verwiel, who has been acting as the company’s interim CEO, will return to his position as an advisor to Ultra.
Prior to joining Ultra I&C, Rucker was senior vice president of SAIC’s Army Business Unit within the Defense and Civilian Sector. In this position, he set the strategic direction and oversaw the execution of all programs that support Army research and development centers, commands, program executive offices, and other customer organizations. He led over 3,500 employees worldwide and was responsible for supporting a wide range of customers across the company’s Army portfolio. Rucker has also held leadership roles within CACI and Lockheed Martin.
“As the interim CEO, I’ve had the privilege of getting an in-depth view of the inner workings and growth potential of I&C and am excited for what the future holds,” said Verwiel. “Now that Jon is taking lead, I have the pleasure of returning to my advisory role with unique insights to enable me with assisting and advising in the development of our opportunities and markets moving forward. Jon is eager to get started in this new role and new chapter of this company.”
