SAIC awarded $73M SPAWAR C4ISR task order

The U.S. Navy’s Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR) awarded Reston, VA-based Science Applications International Corp. a task order to provide architecture and systems engineering support services to the Office of the Chief Engineer (CHENG) (SPAWAR 5.0), the Fleet Readiness Directorate (FRD), and various C4ISR programs and offices.

The single-award task order has a one-year base period of performance, four one-year options, and a total contract value of more than $73 million if all options are exercised, SAIC announced April 23. The task order was awarded under the SeaPort-e contracting vehicle, and most of this work will be performed in San Diego, California. Work will also be performed in Charleston, South Carolina; Denver, Colorado; Norfolk, Virginia; and Washington D.C.

“We are proud to continue to support SPAWAR 5.0, the Navy’s information technology technical authority, building upon our 14 year history with this program,” said Jim Scanlon, SAIC senior vice president and general manager of the Defense Systems Customer Group. “As part of this task order, SAIC will continue to provide its traditional architecture support services, with additional support in key areas such as cybersecurity and systems engineering technical authority.”

Under the task order, SAIC will provide full spectrum architecture, analysis, interoperability assessments, engineering, configuration management, and technical management services to SPAWAR.
