Barbara Supplee named Serco North America CEO

On September 9, Serco North America announced the appointment of Barbara Supplee as chief executive officer, effective September 28.

Supplee succeeds Michael LaRouche and will lead the division’s mission-critical services to government and commercial customers. Serco North America employs approximately 10,000 people, manages more than 700 active contracts, and generates more than $2 billion in annual revenue.

“Serco has built a strong reputation for delivering critical services that support customer missions and strengthen communities,” said Supplee. “I am honored to join the organization and excited to work alongside our employees as we continue delivering exceptional outcomes for customers while pursuing new opportunities for growth.”

Anthony Kirby, Serco Group CEO, said, “Barbara brings a powerful combination of operational leadership, customer understanding, and growth experience. Throughout her career she has led large and complex businesses supporting some of the United States’ most important defense and national security missions. We have a clear strategy in place and Barbara’s experience aligns closely with many of the markets, customers, and opportunities that are important to the delivery of that strategy. The Board and I are delighted that Barbara will be joining Serco and leading our North American business through its next phase of development.”

Supplee joins Serco from SAIC, where she served as executive vice president of the Army Navy Business Group, overseeing programs supporting the U.S. Army, Navy, and Marine Corps. She previously held senior leadership roles at GDIT, CACI International, and BAE Systems. Earlier in her career, she served at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency and as a U.S. Navy intelligence specialist.

Under Supplee’s leadership, Serco North America will continue advancing capabilities in autonomy, command and control, systems engineering and integration, modernization, and other mission-critical services that support customer priorities.

“Serco’s success begins with its people,” Supplee added. “The expertise and commitment of our employees are the foundation of the value we deliver to customers. I look forward to building on the company’s momentum and creating new opportunities for our customers, employees, and communities.”
