RSA appoints Niloofar Razi Howe as chief strategy officer
RSA, The Security Division of EMC based in Bedford, MA, recently announced the appointment of Niloofar Razi Howe as Senior Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer. Howe joins RSA’s executive team to lead the overall RSA corporate strategy, corporate development, and planning. Howe comes to RSA with more than 25 years’ experience working and investing in the technology industry, with a particular focus on the security industry over the past decade. Her security investment insight and management experience will help drive RSA’s vision forward and address the industry’s failing approaches to security.
“The security industry’s approach to address the threats that organizations face today have failed spectacularly. Traditional security protective measures are inadequate at stopping advanced threats and RSA is leading the way in changing security paradigms,” said Amit Yoran, President, RSA, Executive Vice President, EMC. Niloo’s appointment as our Chief Strategy Officer will serve to accelerate that transformation. Having known Niloo and her work for years, I am thrilled to be able to add her to our leadership team and have her insight and expertise help guide and deliver on our vision.”
Before RSA, Howe was the Chief Strategy Officer at Endgame where she was responsible for driving market and product strategy, as well as leading marketing, product management, corporate development and planning. Prior to Endgame, she spent nine years as Managing Director of Paladin Capital Group, a $1 billion private equity fund focused on investing in the national security sector. At Paladin she led the development and implementation of Paladin’s family of funds investment strategies as well as oversight of Paladin’s investment portfolio, which included early, growth, and late-stage investments as well as buyouts. Previously she worked at Zone Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm in Los Angeles, as a consultant with McKinsey & Co., and as a lawyer with O’Melveny & Myers.
“Given the dramatic rate of technology changes and rapidly evolving cyber threats, the security market will require radical transformation to meet customer needs. RSA is in a strong position to lead this transformation and I am excited to leverage my experience in the industry to support RSA’s mission,” Howe said.
