On October 22, the National Geospatial-Intelligence
Agency posted a request for information for Electronic Navigational Chart training.
Responses are due by 12:00 p.m. Central on October 31.
The National
Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) in support of the Maritime Safety Office
(SFH) is seeking information on how an interested contractor could provide Maritime
training for Electronic Navigational Charts (ENCs).
The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to gain information on who in industry could
provide training on the following topics, including but not limited to:
- ENC Overview
- General overview of IHO S-57 Standard as it applies to ENC
- Structure and content of ENC data files
- Relationship between S-57 Standard and ENC products
- Purpose of ENC datasets
NGA has a mission-critical need for training for transitioning from Digital Nautical Charts (DNC) to Electronic Navigational Charts (ENC) within the Maritime Safety Office.
