NGA, SAIC announce IGAPP Grand Challenge for mobile app development

The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency and SAIC are holding the 2019 IGAPP Grand Challenge.

The IGAPP Grand Challenge is an annual contest for app developers to create a mobile app solution that addresses a need within the Department of Defense. Vendors have approximately three months to build, demonstrate, and deliver their app to the IGAPP team. Due to popular demand, we have opened the aperture of available app offerings from three to FOUR app needs. Not only are you competing for valuable seed money, but recognition throughout the GEOINT community by the NGA Director and SAIC senior leaders at the GEOINT Symposium 2-5 June, 2019.

The Prototype Grand Challenge is a contest where approved IGAPP Vendors have approximately three months to build, demonstrate, and deliver a prototype solution that addresses a need within the Department of Defense. The NEXT generation Order Management (NgOM), formerly known as the Resource Tasking and Marketplace (RTM), is the NSG and ASG enterprise-wide marketplace solution for users and suppliers of Geospatial-Intelligence (GEOINT) information, products and services.

As the functional manager of all GEOINT, the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) needs an automated interface between NGA and GEOINT sources and suppliers. This automated reporting solution may replace current operations and workflows that exist within the GEOINT Requirements Management System (GRMS) while providing progress of requests and data quality reports of the GEOINT information, products or services received. The winning entry will receive a $25,000 Grand Prize, presented by NGA and SAIC senior leaders at the government pavilion stage on June 3rd 2019, during the annual GEOINT Symposium in San Antonio, TX.
