KBR acquires Stinger Ghaffarian Technologies
KBR, Inc. of Houston, TX announced on April 25 that it has completed the acquisition of Stinger Ghaffarian Technologies, Inc. (SGT) a leading provider of technology solutions, engineering services, mission operations, scientific and IT software solutions in the government services market.
This strategic acquisition represents a significant step forward in KBR’s strategy to expand its high-tech professional services across the government services sector. The addition of SGT solidifies KBRwyle’s position as an established leader in space exploration and opens up significant new opportunities in both commercial and military space.
“We are excited to bring SGT into the KBRwyle family,” said Stuart Bradie, KBR president and CEO. “As a combined team we have substantial opportunities for new growth and we are well positioned to capitalize on revenue synergies in a market with strong fundamentals.”
“This is a very deliberate move to enact our long term strategy within the government services market, NASA and the broader space industry,” Bradie continued. “We are building a long lasting space franchise with a major presence in the three key segments of today’s industry – civil, military and commercial.”
We will immediately begin integrating SGT into KBRwyle, KBR’s government services segment, and SGT will maintain much of its current structure to ensure business continuity.
