On July 21, KBR announced key technology capabilities within its Mission Technology Solutions business to support Golden Dome for America, the nation’s next-generation missile defense initiative. KBR leverages deep domain expertise in joint integrated air and missile defense, space domain awareness, Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS) and directed energy to transform complex mission data into actionable insights at speed, accelerating decision advantage for American warfighters, the company said.
KBR delivers platform-neutral integration solutions that connect complex systems across combatant commands, federal agencies and joint operational environments, enabling a unified, interagency approach. The company reduces government risk and compresses development timelines through rapid digital engineering, advanced data integration and threat simulation. Harnessing the full potential of human experience and AI-powered engineering tools, KBR addresses technical challenges, including space-based sensing, hypersonic systems, drone threats and system resilience.
In support of Golden Dome, KBR holds a seat on the Missile Defense Agency’s Scalable Homeland Innovative Enterprise Layered Defense (SHIELD) multiple-award, Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract, which has a total ceiling value of $151 billion across all awardees.
KBR has promoted Daniel Dant to vice president of strategic initiatives to lead its pursuit of Golden Dome opportunities. Dant dedicated his 26-year Air Force career to the national security space enterprise. He commanded the 460th Space Wing at Buckley Air Force Base and served as the aide-de-camp to the commander of the Air Force Space Command. As space policy director for the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Dant pioneered a new strategic posture for threats to U.S. space capabilities.
Jay Lennon, president of Mission Technology Solutions Defense and Intel division, will also drive the company’s Golden Dome strategy. Lennon, a 25-year Air Force veteran, oversees KBR’s national security and defense technology portfolios. He will bring together the company’s core strengths to prioritize speed in supporting the Department of War.
