Jim Pietrocini joins Centauri as business development VP
Centauri, based in Chantilly, VA, announced on December 6 the hiring of Jim Pietrocini as vice president of business development for the company’s space superiority and missile defense business. In his new role at Centauri, Pietrocini will help bring the company’s engineering, intelligence, cybersecurity and advanced space and missile defense solutions to new government customers.
“I’m excited to join an organization with strong capabilities and a robust software development team,” said Pietrocini. “Centauri’s past performance demonstrates its ability to serve as a powerful lead integrator for several organizations.”
Pietrocini brings more than 25 years of industry experience in the Department of Defense (DoD), federal technology and C4ISR markets. Previously, he held roles in sales and business development at Northrop Grumman, IBM, Salesforce and Elastic, focusing on C2, cybersecurity, software development and data analytics. Pietrocini also founded and served as chief executive officer of the R.L. Phillips Group, bringing C4ISR and cybersecurity services to the DoD.
“Jim’s strong track record will help us continue to grow and diversify our space and missile defense business unit,” said Centauri’s President and Chief Operations Officer Dennis Kelly. “There is a heavy need for DevSecOps in all services, so we’re excited to have Jim on board to help drive business growth.”
Pietrocini will report directly to Patricia Nunn, Centauri’s senior vice president of business development.
“Centauri is thrilled to welcome another industry veteran with rich experience to our growing business development team,” said Nunn.
