General Keith Alexander, the head of NSA since 2005 and the new U.S. Cyber Command since it was established in 2010, who is retiring at the end of the month, made what might be his last appearance before the House Armed Services Committee’s subcommittee on intelligence, emerging threats and capabilities on March 12.
General Alexander testified on the subject, “Information Technology and Cyber Operations: Modernization and Policy Issues in a Changing National Security Environment.”
He was accompanied by a second witness, Teresa Takai, the Chief Information Officer for the Department of Defense.
