FireEye launches two new MDR services
On July 16, FireEye, Inc. of Milpitas, CA announced the availability of two new managed detection and response (MDR) service offerings – FireEye Managed Defense Nights and Weekends and FireEye Managed Defense for Endpoint Security.
“Managed Defense has led the managed detection and response market since 2011 when we saw the need to provide ongoing, proactive detection and investigations following incident response engagements,” said Marshall Heilman, senior vice president, managed defense and TORE, FireEye. “Customer needs continue to evolve along with the threat landscape and we now offer service options from a full managed defense program, including comprehensive network, email, and endpoint protection; seamless endpoint alert management, investigation and response; or supplemental night and weekend coverage. Whatever the customer needs, Managed Defense has the right service and product combination to best secure their organization.”
Security threats continue to evolve, yet many organizations remain reliant on reactive security solutions due to a lack of available resources. FireEye Managed Defense strengthens security operations by delivering a proactive analyst-driven MDR service that combines world-renowned frontline investigative experience with industry-leading technology and intelligence to detect threats early and help prevent a security incident.
FireEye continuously evolves its service offerings to anticipate market changes and meet customer needs. As a result, the FireEye Managed Defense service now includes the following options:
- FireEye Managed Defense Nights and Weekends delivers off hours threat protection for organizations looking to gain 24×7 coverage without additional staffing overhead and is ideal for enterprises with 8×5 security operations centers (SOC).
- FireEye Managed Defense for Endpoint Security combines the real-time detection capabilities of FireEye Endpoint Security, with one-click containment and alert management, hunting, investigation and response provided by Managed Defense, offering a comprehensive Managed Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) solution.
