Expert System announces plans to structure U.S. presence into two separate companies for public and private sectors
Expert System, a Rockville, MD-based leader in multilingual cognitive computing technology for the effective management of unstructured information, announced on October 9 a new organizational structure for its U.S. operations, placing increased emphasis and distinctions within the Public and Private sectors.
The announcement comes following the closing of the acquisition of TEMIS.
Cognitive computing has taken a leading role to solve some of the more important information-related challenges for any organization. However, Public and Private sector needs and priorities can be significantly different. To effectively address these different needs, Expert System will create a new organizational structure centered on two separate companies:
- Expert System USA, Inc., the legal entity of Expert System, operating in the US market since 2008, will be fully dedicated to the Public sector market including Critical Infrastructure, Intelligence, Defense, and Law Enforcement;
- TEMIS USA will become Expert System Enterprise, and will integrate the current private sector business of Expert System in the US. The company will target the broad Private market with a focus on the Publishing, Energy and O&G, Life Science and Financial Services sectors.
“Following the acquisition and the integration of Temis, we have created a global organization which combines the two companies’ market and customer presence.
