ENSCO, Inc. names Vernon Joyner vice president of national security
ENSCO, Inc. of Falls Church, VA announced on December 6 that Vernon Joyner is named Vice President of the National Security Solutions (NSS) Division, effective Nov. 28. Prior to this promotion, Joyner was Division Manager of the NSS Division.
“Mr. Joyner is a seasoned business executive and technical expert with 30 years of experience in software development, system engineering, program management, and organizational leadership,” said Boris Nejikovsky, ENSCO president. “Under Vernon’s leadership, the NSS Division is growing and expanding into new exciting technology areas. He has been a strong asset to the executive leadership team and a valuable contributor to company-wide initiatives.”
Prior to joining ENSCO, Joyner was the Technical Director in the Advanced Missions Solutions Group (AMSG) of Dynetics, Inc. In that role, Joyner worked closely with customers, technology partners, and mission specialists to craft solutions to challenging national security problems. Previously, he held senior positions at QinetiQ North America, Computer Sciences Corporation, and Raytheon.
Joyner has worked with and led technical teams in the development and implementation of advanced technologies, including sophisticated cyber security capabilities and signal processing solutions. He has received awards for outstanding program and technical leadership, and has served as a technical representative and advisor to numerous industry and government organizations, including the National Security Technical Advisory Committee, NIST, ETSI, and ANSI. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
