USSOCOM to hold industry day, posts RFI, for Joint Threat Warning Systems program
On December 5, the U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) posted a request for information for the Joint Threat Warning Systems. White paper submissions are due no later than December 23.
The purpose of this RFI is to gather Industry’s input regarding a requirement supporting the USSOCOM. Special Operations Forces Acquisition Technology and Logistics (SOF AT&L), Program Executive Officer for Special Reconnaissance, Surveillance and Exploitation (PEO – SRSE), Program Manager for Joint Threat Warning Systems (PM-JTWS).
Responses to this RFI will be used by USSOCOM, SOF AT&L, PEO- SRSE, PM-JTWS to identify potential equipment for participation in the further evaluation of market information and/or ascertain potential market capacity to provide services consistent in scope and scale with those described in this notice.
The Program Manager is specifically interested in signals intelligence technologies, ideas and solutions which advance one or more of the following key interest areas:
1) Cross-environmental domain (e.g. air, land and sea surface)
2) Modularity and scalability
3) Cost reduction
4) Significantly reduced size and weight
The Government will evaluate market information to ascertain potential market capacity to provide services consistent in scope and scale with those described in this notice and otherwise anticipated. The Government intends to discuss in a broad forum some of the program challenges, concerns, ideas and opportunities. Morning format will be a collaborative group discussion. The Program Manager will host, along with representatives from the requirements developers and SOF users.
Following this, in the afternoon of the same day, the Government will allow for individual discussions for those vendors who may wish to share competition sensitive information on a one on one basis. Each vendor may get between 20-60 minutes, depending on total number of interested vendors. It is not necessary to bring hardware since it will not be feasible to conduct product demonstrations at this event.
