DigitalGlobe to provide advanced analytic services to the DIA
DigitalGlobe, Inc. of Westminster, CO announced on June 20 that it has been awarded a direct contract with the U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) through its government services business, DigitalGlobe Intelligence Solutions, to deliver advanced analytic services. This contract vehicle builds on a relationship DigitalGlobe has with the DIA that originated through a series of subcontracting relationships.
This sole-source, cost-plus-fixed-fee contract was awarded to DigitalGlobe’s GeoEye Analytics Inc., a wholly owned legal entity of DigitalGlobe, with a ceiling value of $55 million and an estimated completion date of June 2021. This contract will provide DigitalGlobe with a means of providing ongoing mission support to the DIA with innovative all-source analytic solutions. Given that this contract is a continuation of an existing customer relationship, the estimated revenue and contributing EBITDA associated with this customer is already incorporated in the current DigitalGlobe 2016 guidance.
“This award is a vote of confidence in DigitalGlobe’s ability to deliver advanced analytic expertise to meet the DIA’s unique and demanding intelligence requirements,” said Tony Frazier, DigitalGlobe SVP and general manager of services. “This sole-source contract award is consistent with our intent to develop more direct relationships with our U.S. Government customers and enables us to deliver sustained innovation in support of the Intelligence Community mission. I’m excited to extend our partnership with the DIA, building on our pedigree of developing advanced all-source analytics and big data platforms to help our customers discover mission-critical information and narrow the search space.”
