David Fisher named VP and business transformation officer by SRA International
SRA International, Inc., a provider of IT solutions and professional services to government organizations, announced on May 27 that David Fisher has joined the company as Vice President and Business Transformation Officer (BTO).
Fisher will lead a business transformation program to drive continuous process improvement and operational optimization efforts in support of SRA’s strategic plan. As BTO, he will help SRA continue to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of internal business processes, enhancing the focus on providing customers with the best people, ideas and performance.

He will provide SRA, and our customers, with strategies and practices that will enable us to consistently meet the dynamic needs of the federal government market in order to achieve exceptional operational performance.”
Fisher has held a number of senior roles within the public and private sectors, most recently as Chief Risk Officer and Senior Advisor to the Commissioner at the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). Prior to joining the IRS, he served as Chief Administrative Officer/Chief Financial Officer at the Government Accountability Office (GAO).
Before holding his role at the GAO, Fisher held a number of positions with the Department of Defense (DoD), including serving as the first permanent director of the Business Transformation Agency, Defense Enterprise Integration Executive, and Special Assistant to the Deputy Under Secretary of Defense (Financial Management). Prior to joining DoD, David served as Managing Director with BearingPoint.
He graduated with distinction from Stanford University with a bachelor’s degree in communications. He completed his masters of business administration at Santa Clara University’s Leavey School of Business. He is also the author of Optimize Now (or else!): How to Leverage Processes and Information to Achieve Enterprise Optimization and Avoid Enterprise Extinction.
