The SI Organization, Inc. (the SI) announced on May 27 that it has completed its acquisition of the QinetiQ North America Services and Solutions Group (QNA/SSG) from QinetiQ U.S. Holdings Inc.

QNA/SSG’s core offering of high-end systems engineering and integration services and software solutions will strengthen the SI’s offerings in the Intelligence Community, greatly scale presence in adjacent markets, and provide additional opportunities to leverage research and intellectual property to drive innovation to customers and deliver value to investors, says an SI news release.

“This acquisition culminates a thoughtful process to bring together two great companies, and their employees, to better serve the mission of our customers,” said Mac Curtis, CEO of the SI. “I look forward to demonstrating our enhanced value to our partners in the federal government.”

The transaction forms a $1.3 billion company that will be integrated and re-branded over the coming months. The new company will leverage the best of both organizations and will unite under a shared set of values and a common vision to be a leader in the design, development, integration and operation of complex, mission-critical information solutions across government.

“This transaction provides The SI Organization, Inc. with the scale and differentiated service offerings necessary to compete and grow in this market. We anticipate that this consolidation trend will continue,” said Larry A. Davis, partner of Aronson Capital Partners.
