Army looking for an alternative vendor to General Dynamics C4 at Aberdeen

The U.S. Army Contracting Command in Aberdeen Proving Ground in Maryland has issued a “soiurces sought” notice in search of a contractor that could provide support services related to the Tactical Intelligence Ground Station, once known as the “Target Acquisition System,” as an alternative to the incumbent supplier, General Dynamics C4 Systems.

“The Government is querying the marketplace to determine if there are other sources capable of satisfying the Government’s requirements for services for the AN/TSQ-179D(V)2,” says the notice, which was published on Oct. 31.

The chosen vendor will handles tasks such as test and inspection; repairing unserviceable parts; providing in-house technical support; performing obsolescence investigations, etc.

Interested parties are asked to submit a capabilities document of no more than five pages by November 14 to Gavin Smith at gavin.v.smith.civ@mail.mil
