On October 2, the U.S. Army posted a request for information about Micro-Radar Technologies and Sensors (Solicitation Number: W56KGU-18-X-0001). Responses are due no later than 12:00 p.m. Eastern on November 16.
The United States Army, Intelligence and Information Warfare Directorate (I2WD) is seeking information regarding Micro-Radar Technologies and Sensors. The intent of this RFI is to gather information on sensors and technologies that enable Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) and/or Ground Moving Target Indicator (GMTI) radar modes for small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UASs). Integrating radars on small UASs is a challenge due to the size, weight, and power restrictions on platforms. Sensors weighing less than 10 lbs are of interest.
