Air Force releases GPS III phase 1 RFP
On January 8, the U.S. Air Force posted the following notice of solicitation for the Global Positioning System III (GPS III) Space Vehicles 11+ Phase 1 Production Readiness Feasibility Assessment (Solicitation Number: FA8807-15-R-0003).
The Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC), Global Positioning Systems Directorate (GP) is releasing the Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Global Positioning System III (GPS III) Space Vehicles 11+ Phase 1 Production Readiness Feasibility Assessment. The RFP, FA8807-15-R-0003, is included in the Phase 1 Bidder’s Library along with additional sensitive RFP documents. Interested contractors may request access to the Bidder’s Library by emailing the point of contact listed below and must obtain and sign a non-disclosure agreement prior to being granted access to the Bidder’s Library. Some information in the Bidder’s Library is classified and will require appropriate security clearances for individuals accessing the information.
Proposals must be submitted to this office no later than 23 February 2016 at 1700 Pacific Standard Time in accordance with instructions outlined in Section L of the RFP. Questions in reference to this RFP must only be addressed to the undersigned Contracting Officer and may be posted and shared with other offerors. Responses from small and small disadvantaged businesses are highly encouraged. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this effort is 336414. The small business size standard is 1000 employees.
The proposed period of performance for this effort is 26 months for the basic contract, and two options for 6-months each, for a total possible period of performance of 38 months.
