A/DNI Maguire issues statement on the end of his tenure
On February 19, Acting Director of National Intelligence Joseph Maguire issued the following statement on the end of his tenure as A/DNI:
“I want to thank President Trump for the opportunity to serve as the Acting Director of National Intelligence for the last six months. It has been an honor to work alongside the men and women of the intelligence community who have an unwavering dedication to our mission and the Nation.”
I have sworn an oath to the Constitution 11 times in 36 years and believe in a life of service. When I was asked to return to public service as the Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, I never imagined what would follow. This has been the opportunity of a lifetime, and I am grateful for the tireless efforts and support of our intelligence professionals. I am committed to leading the IC until Ambassador Grenell assumes the role, and look forward to the next challenge.”
