Vormetric, a leader in enterprise data security for physical, virtual, big data and cloud environments based in San Jose, CA, announced on July 7 that it was named the recipient of the 2015 GTRA ConVurge Award for Excellence in Government Data Security and Encryption for Unified Data Security Platform. The award, given out by the Government Technology Research Alliance (GTRA), was presented June 29 during the ConVurge Honorary Awards dinner in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.
Nominees from civilian, defense and intelligence agencies, along with solution providers, were evaluated and selected by GTRA Council Members and community public voting. Awards celebrate and recognize government and industry IT leaders whose vision, innovation and remarkable accomplishments improve efficiency, the delivery of government services, citizen engagement, information sharing and national security.
“It’s an honor to receive this award from the Government Technology Research Alliance,” said President and CEO Alan Kessler with Vormetric. “Our products are used today around the world by both commercial and government enterprises to protect sensitive information and meet compliance requirements.
