Vencore awarded USAF expert scientific and analytical support task order

Vencore, Inc. of Chantilly, VA announced on August 30 that it was awarded a follow-on task order to continue work on the United States Air Force Technical Applications Center (AFTAC) Expert Scientific and Analytical Support (ESAS) program. The task order has a $6.4 million value, and work will be performed in Melbourne, Florida.

Under this task order, Vencore will continue the system development of the AFTAC Modular Optimized Operations System (MOOS).  MOOS, currently being developed by Vencore, is a revolutionary replacement for the existing AFTAC Nuclear Detonation (NUDET) Detection System (NDS) Analysis System (ANDSAS).

Since 2011, Vencore has supported the Air Force’s technical capabilities to ensure nuclear detection mission readiness and treaty verification through the advancement of standoff detection, multi sensor platform correlation, situational awareness, analysis, diagnostics, forensics and systems engineering. The company also supports the research and development of future systems and other advanced detection technologies to meet the evolving operational mission requirements for monitoring treaties and other customer directed technology applications.
