USMC posts RFI for ISR flight support
On October 24, the United States Marine Corps posted a request for information for intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance flight support (Solicitation Number: M0124417SUC4004). Capability statements are due no later than 4:00pm PST on November 4.
The Regional Contracting Office MCIWEST is conducting market research to identify vendors capable of providing a manned, fixed-wing propeller driven aircraft with intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities to support a three-day training exercise for Marine Aviation Weapons and Tactics Squadron-1 (MAWTS-1), Marine Corp Air Station, Yuma, Arizona.
The service requested is to provide real-time electro-optical (EO) and infrared (IR) sensor full-motion video (FMV) while integrating with close air support aircraft to locate and simulate attacking opposing forces, simulated by live role-players. The aircraft must have capability of 5 hours on station time at an altitude of surface to 24,000′ AGL. The intent of this effort is to provide familiarization of flight characteristics, capabilities and limitations of ISR aircraft for MAWTS-1 instructors and prospective instructors.
