URS Awarded ‘technical area contract’ by DoD
URS Corp. has announced that the company has been awarded an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity, multiple award contract by DoD’s Information Analysis Centers Enterprise for defense systems technical area tasks. The approximate maximum aggregate value of the contract, which has a one-year base period and four one-year option periods, is $3 billion to the 12 awardees.

Under the terms of the contract, URS will lead a team of 40 subcontractors, including the University of Missouri, which can compete for or be awarded task orders to provide research, development, test and evaluation, and advisory and assistance services related to research and development efforts for technical area tasks within the DoD’s three new Information Analysis Centers. Such task orders may include research and analysis on the survivability and vulnerability of military weapons, military sensing and weapon systems, and directed energy weapons.
