She is a recognized industry leader and author of numerous articles and white papers on enterprise data management topics. She’ll discuss the user side and core elements of Big Data analytics. She will also demonstrate the different types of visualization tools that are available to analyze data with finance and accounting business scenarios. Walker will point out how users can successfully explore data to reveal valuable business insights and gain competitive advantage.
In her sessions, Walker will explain the four primary categories of analytics: (1) descriptive (what happened); (2) diagnostic (why did it happen); (3) predictive (what will happen next); and (4) prescriptive (how can I influence what will happen) insights. She will also demonstrate examples of compelling visual displays of data findings that can be used to effectively communicate analytical insights and accelerate informed action.
“The goal of any analytics solution is to provide organizations with actionable insight to proactively drive better business outcomes and improve customer service levels,” said Walker. “Understanding what each analytics type can deliver, then aligning the analytics function to an organization’s operational needs can provide a dependable path to an optimal solution that can address business needs.”
