PSS acquires Synaptic Solutions, Inc.
Preferred Systems Solutions (PSS) of Tysons Corner, VA announced on October 11 its acquisition of Synaptic Solutions, an advanced technology services provider to the Intelligence Community (IC).
With its sixth acquisition in the past 30 months, PSS has significantly expanded its professional services core capabilities and its presence in a broad spectrum of critical national security programs. Synaptic Solutions holds critical technical and software engineering positions on high-priority programs within the IC and their strong presence further strengthens PSS’s business network and contract base within the IC and across the broader national security community.
“In late 2015 and early 2016, we further expanded PSS’ presence in the Intelligence Community, by completing the acquisitions of GSM Consulting and Tetra Concepts. Our purchase of Synaptic Solutions is a continuation of our active acquisition campaign to provide a broader range of advanced technology capabilities within the Intelligence Community,” said Scott Goss, CEO of PSS. “We remain committed to investing in companies, capabilities, and subject matter expertise that will further enrich our cloud architecture, engineering, advanced software design and development, and big data management and analytic solutions. The successful track record of outstanding customer support by the men and women of Synaptic Solutions brings us closer to all those goals.”
Synaptic Solutions owners and founders, Josh Cury and Derrick Henley, will be joining the National Security Group led by Dean McKendrick and help focus on future growth across the Intelligence Community. Mr. Cury and Mr. Henley added, “We are extremely pleased to join PSS; this merger will enhance our ability to provide our government partners with a robust and diversified set of technical skills while providing each Synaptic Solutions teammate with the opportunity for personal and professional growth as we expand our contracts and customer base.”
