Novetta adds Tiffanny Gates as president of its federal division

McLean, VA-based Novetta announced on January 20 Tiffanny Gates has joined the company as president of Novetta’s Federal division. Gates leads the company’s work with U.S. government customers and is responsible for the division’s overall strategy and direction, profitability, business development, and successful delivery of advanced analytics consulting, software and hardware services and solutions.

“Tiffanny was our first choice to lead Novetta’s Federal business and we are thrilled to have her on board,” said Peter LaMontagne, CEO of Novetta. “She is an accomplished executive, national security community entrepreneur, and proven leader who brings a unique combination of mission, cyber security and intelligence experience to the Novetta team.”

Gates comes to Novetta from Raytheon, Blackbird Technologies where she was vice president of cyber strategies and managed the development of custom computer network hardware and software for the intelligence and special operations communities. Prior to Raytheon, Blackbird, Gates was senior vice president of strategy and business development for the mission, cyber and technology solutions group at ManTech International, and served as vice president, chief technology officer and deputy chief of the cyber mission section for the company’s security and mission assurance group.

In 2008, Gates joined ManTech following its acquisition of Emerging Technologies Group where she was president and CEO. Earlier in her career, Gates was a consultant to a National Security/Information Assurance Team for the Commander, Naval Security Group, and supported construction of C4ISR architectures for the Information Operations and Maritime Cryptologic Architecture Program.
Gates also worked with the National Security Agency as a technical analyst specializing in counterintelligence threats posed by information technology, and served in the U.S. Navy as a Cryptologic Officer. She holds a B.S. degree from the United States Naval Academy.
