NGA releases GRIM RFI

On November 8, the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) released a request for information (RFI) for Geospatial-Intelligence (GEOINT) Reporting Integration Management (GRIM). Responses are due by 5:00 p.m. Eastern on December 2.

NGA’s Analysis Integrated Program Office’s (IPA) Orchestration Services (OrcSrvcs) is responsible for providing technical Geospatial-Intelligence (GEOINT) production and workflow capabilities to NGA, National System for Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG) and Allied System for Geospatial-Intelligence (ASG). The OrcSrvcs Project Office mission is to establish and maintain a world-class environment to maximize access, reduce manual intervention, and increase productivity.

Providing maximum access to the breadth and depth of the IPA’s offerings for GEOINT production – We will provide for the exquisite Orchestration of services, tools, and sources of data in support of GEOINT Analysts across the NGA, NSG and ASG domains. The (OrcSrvcs) Program Office is seeking information on how interested contractors could provide services to develop, integrate, and deploy increments of new Business Analytics (BA), Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) Reporting (GR), and Workflow Orchestration (WO) capabilities in support of the analytic environment modernization initiative.

The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to obtain information in support of market research efforts and create a dialogue with industry to discuss ideas and approaches to shape an acquisition Strategy for the agile development of new increments of capabilities (i.e., Business Analytics, GEOINT Reporting, and Workflow Orchestration) which are required to support the analytic environment modernization initiative.

NGA is both a Combat Support Agency (CSA) of the Department of Defense (DoD) and a member of the United States Intelligence Community (IC). As a CSA, NGA provides critical support to the national decision-making process and the operational readiness of America’s military forces. As a member of the IC, the NGA mission is to provide timely, relevant, and accurate GEOINT in support of National Security objectives. NGA is responsible for GEOINT and the associated Tasking, Collection, Processing, Exploitation and Dissemination (TCPED) imagery process. To remain operationally effective within a fluid, unconventional domain, NGA must advance in capability and analytic methodology.

NGA has a mission-critical need for the development and deployment of new increments of Business Analytics, GEOINT Reporting, and Workflow Orchestrations capabilities to support the analytic environment modernization initiative. The modernized analytic environment will facilitate the discovery, ingest, fusion, analysis, and export of GEOINT and all-source data using common interface standards that will expedite the production of anticipatory intelligence.

OrcSrvcs capabilities are used to orchestrate Imagery Analysis and Production used by more than 11,000 users at over 50 distinct locations deployed to, and accessible from, the US Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) domains (Common Operational Environment [COE] and Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communications Systems [JWICS]), Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNet), and on FVEY SCI Rel domains.
