NGA releases GEOINT Collection neXt (GCX) synopsis

On April 15, the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) issued a Pre-Solicitation Notice of its intent to conduct a Full and Open Competition for the GEOINT Collection NeXT (GCX) requirement.

NGA anticipates release of a solicitation/ Request for Proposal (RFP) on or around 25 May 2024 with the intent to award a single contract for this requirement. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 541511.

BACKGROUND: The GEOINT Collection NeXt (GCX) contract is designed to ensure the continued sustainment of the legacy GEOINT Information Management Services (GIMS) baseline, while also supporting modernization and evolution of GIMS capabilities. GIMS, along with its related sub-components, provides critical capabilities to enable efficient and timely GEOINT management across multiple provider types for NGA and the Intelligence Community (IC) and is the primary component of the baseline managed under the GCX Contract.

It is contemplated that the solicitation will be posted to the CLASSFIED Intelligence Community – Acquisition Research Center (IC-ARC) website.
