NGA releases building partner capacity RFI

On May 12, the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) issued a request for information (RFI) for building partner capacity. Responses are  due by 5:00 p.m. Eastern on May 27.

NGA, in support of the NGA Source Office, is seeking information on a contract requirement to ensure foreign partners receive U.S. commercial imagery services and/or capabilities that can meet or exceed their commercial imagery and analytical tradecraft needs. This program must provide foreign partners ample flexibility to support routine monitoring activities as well as real world operations.

The purpose of this request for information (RFI) is to conduct market research on current Industry capabilities and technologies that would meet the USG and NGA’s requirements and to initiate a dialogue with Industry to discuss technical ideas and approaches to shape the overall technical approach to satisfy mission need.

The NGA is exploring the possibilities of a contract to ensure foreign partners receive U.S. commercial imagery services and/or capabilities that can meet or exceed their commercial imagery and analytical tradecraft needs. This program must provide foreign partners ample flexibility to support routine monitoring activities as well as real world operations. The program schedule and objectives will include the following:

  • Phase-1: High-resolution commercial imagery over a web-enabled service
  • Phase-2: Virtual High-resolution commercial imagery tasking service
  • Phase-3: Commercial Synthetic Aperture Radar (COMSAR) imagery over a web-enabled service
  • Phase-4: Virtual High-resolution Commercial Synthetic Aperture Radar (COMSAR) tasking service
