NGA publishes software guide

On April 21, the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) published a new guide to help teams deliver agency software faster, more consistently and more securely.

The NGA Software Way  is a supplement to NGA’s Technology Strategy  on how teams can develop, release and operate software to meet mission needs and user expectations.

“This guide incorporates many of the best practices of government and industry,” said Alex Loehr, NGA’s Chief Technology Officer. “The intent is to design and build software products with its users.”

The 12-page document provides contractor and government teams with metrics to track for each software product as well as a step-by-step guide for building, iterating on and operating software products.
