NGA posts RFP for aeronautical chart production
On August 14, the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency issued a request for proposals for Aeronautical Chart Production (Solicitation Number: HM157517R0007). Proposals are due no later than September 11, according to FedBizOpps.
The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) proposes to award a single award Indefinite Delivery – Indefinite Quantity contract using Firm Fixed Price type delivery orders to provide product-finishing, using NGA provided data, for Flight Information Publications (FLIP) (Enroute Charts, Area Planning Charts, and Area Arrival Charts Depicting Terrain Data) as digital files for printing and web distribution.
The total anticipated ordering period is five years. This project will be posted for full and open competition. The applicable NAICS code is 541370 – Surveying and Mapping Services. This effort is to maintain, update, backup, and output worldwide FLIP Aeronautical Charts as digital data for printing and web distribution per the production schedule. The FLIP Aeronautical Charts suite consists of 130 charts that will be listed in the Statement of Work (SOW). The contractor shall maintain the currency of all FLIP charts IAW current product specifications, aeronautical information and meta-tagged IAW current NGA approved standards, allowing for cross-domain movement of content. Over time current Aeronautical Safety of Navigation (SoN) processes, procedures, and legacy systems will need to be modernized and enhanced through innovative technologies, processes, and software capabilities. This contract will allow contractors to work with NGA to implement new technologies and/or processes in order to achieve the modernization of FLIP product finishing.
