NCI on team awarded contract supporting U.S. Air Force
NCI, Inc. of Reston, VA announced on January 20 that it was awarded a firm-fixed-price and time-and-materials subcontract valued at $9 million to provide IT support services to the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) Rome Research Site (RRS) in Rome, New York. The award continues the support provided to RRS by NCI under a subcontract with CDO Technologies Inc. on its NETCENTS-2 contract. The contract consists of a one-year base period and four one-year option periods.
NCI will provide RRS with engineering and technical support for communications and computer core services, applications development, testing, integration and user support for the purpose-built cyber research network with this award. The company planned, designed and implemented the current network under the AFRL RRS End-of-Life upgrade project as part of a previous contract with the customer, which NCI has supported since 2007.
“We are pleased to continue our long-standing relationship with AFRL through this win,” said Brian Clark, NCI’s president and CEO. “It demonstrates our ability to provide high-quality network engineering in an efficient and cost-effective manner, and we look forward to continuing our support of cyber research efforts for the U.S. Air Force.”
