MTEQ adds David Scott as business development director
On June 7, Lorton, VA-based MTEQ announced David Scott as the company’s new director of business development. Scott comes to MTEQ from SRI International where he served for 20 years in a variety of business development, engineering and business unit management and program management roles.
While at SRI, Scott supported strategic initiatives for the past two years. Prior to this role, he served in a business development role, where he was responsible for identifying and delivering government funding opportunities in national security markets, as well as providing strategic direction for new market entrance, proposal strategies, and teaming arrangements. He also provided strategic capture, competitive analysis and strategic guidance to the organization.
Previously, Scott managed SRI International’s Advanced Systems Division, Center for Information Management and Cyber Security providing advanced technology development and technology transfer services for Department of Defense and Intelligence Community clients. In this role, he managed both program and business operations as well as strategy development for new business growth. He was also program director and chief operations officer at Rosettex Technology & Ventures Group, an SRI joint venture, supporting pathfinder efforts in rapid technology innovation for the federal government.
Scott received his master’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Wisconsin, and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from State University of New York and Syracuse University.
