ManTech awarded $71M for technology transformation in maritime patrol and reconnaissance aircraft
Herndon, VA-based ManTech announced on August 2 a four-year $71 million task order awarded by the U.S. Air Force Installation Contracting Agency (AFICA) under the DoD Information Analysis Center’s (DoD IAC) Defense Systems Technical Area Task (DS TAT) Multi-Award Contract (MAC). Under this award, ManTech will provide a major technology modernization initiative to transform mission systems in manned U.S. Navy maritime patrol and reconnaissance aircraft for Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane Division on behalf of the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) PMA 290.
ManTech will replace legacy systems with state-of-the-art technology solutions in P-3C Orion and P-8A Poseidon aircraft widely used in anti-submarine and anti-surface electronic warfare, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR), and survivability missions. The scope of this program includes quick-reaction and engineering analyses for total lifecycle management, and the logistical support essential to serving operational requirements.
“ManTech’s commitment to developing and deploying advanced technology solutions for these unique ISR and electronic warfare systems demonstrates how we’re bringing digital to the mission in ways that solve our customer’s toughest challenges,” said Kevin Phillips, president and CEO of ManTech. “When it comes to supporting programs that deliver critical intelligence for our armed forces, America’s military turns to ManTech.”
