MacB announces new senior vice president and general manager for National Security Group
MacAulay-Brown, Inc. (MacB) announced on April 25 that Dan Gutierrez has been promoted to senior vice President and general manager of MacB’s National Security Group (NSG), one of three operating groups in the company. In this new role, Gutierrez will directly report to MacB president and CEO Sidney Fuchs.
In this executive position, he is responsible for leading MacB’s cyber and intelligence operations, mission support and engineering activities across the Department of Defense and Intelligence communities. With more than 35 years of experience in demanding positions within the Intelligence and Cyber communities, Gutierrez joined MacB in April 2010 and previously led NSG’s Cyber Intelligence Division in San Antonio, Texas and was Vice President of Mid-Atlantic Operations and NSG Operations. Prior to joining MacB, he worked as Department Manager for Northrop Grumman-TASC Cyber and Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) Support. In this role, he was responsible for leading cyber and intelligence advisory services activities in San Antonio and Joint Forces markets, and for the business development and execution of more than $28 million in annual sales for 100 employees in five U.S. offices.
Prior to his industry career, Gutierrez served more than 20 years in the U.S. Air Force as a Signals Intelligence Analyst, focusing on intelligence planning, analysis and support. He served in the Electronic Security Command, Air Force Intelligence Command and its successor – the Air Intelligence Agency in San Antonio. During his service, he earned the distinctive Air Force Intelligence Award, Senior NCO category, and earned a degree in Communications Application Technology. He is a member of the Air Force Association, Armed Forces Communications Electronics Association, and the Intelligence and National Security Alliance.
