John Wilcox joins By Light as strategic initiatives VP

By Light Professional IT Services LLC of Arlington, VA announced on May 20 that John Wilcox has joined the firm as vice president of strategic initiatives.

Wilcox was most recently the chief information officer/J6 for the US Special Operations Command. He brings to the company nine years of experience in the Senior Executive Service, where he developed USSOCOM’s information technology strategy and was responsible for operating and maintaining USSOCOM’s global network providing support to nearly 80,000 special operations personnel.

Prior to his assignment as USSOCOM J6, Wilcox served in the US Army for nearly 28 years, including commands in Hawaii and the Mid-East supporting both conventional and special operations forces. In his role at By Light, he will focus on developing new capabilities and solutions for the company’s war-fighting customers.
