Harris Corporation receives $16 million order from NATO nation for Falcon III radios
On March 30, Harris Corporation, of Melbourne, FL, announced that it has received a $16 million order from a NATO nation for both wideband and high-frequency (HF) radios from the company’s Falcon® line of tactical radios.
The nation is acquiring the Falcon III® AN/PRC-117G manpack, AN/PRC-152A handheld, and AN/PRC-150 HF radios, which provide Type-1 secure voice and data communications for wideband networking and beyond-line-of-sight environments.
“The Harris Falcon III tactical radio product line provides reliable interoperability with U.S. and NATO forces, enabling the nation’s military personnel to securely and seamlessly communicate during joint missions,” said Brendan O’Connell, president, Tactical Communications, Harris RF Communications. “In addition, Falcon III radios also enable high-bandwidth applications for heightened situational awareness such as streaming video, simultaneous voice and data feeds, and collaborative chat.”
