General Dynamics Mediaware to enhance intelligence reporting for Victoria Police

D-VEX General Dynamics Mediaware announced that it has delivered one of its D-VEX systems to the Victoria Police. A specialized unit will use the video exploitation solution to efficiently index, organize and analyze video collected from airborne operations, foster collaboration between agencies and strengthen intelligence reporting.

“We look forward to working with the Victoria Police to address their critical requirements for processing the volumes of video gathered on a daily basis and deriving actionable intelligence,” said Kevin Moore, chief technology officer at General Dynamics Mediaware. “The Victoria Police provide a vital service to the community and we are pleased to outfit them with the tools to transform how video is managed, allowing the force to extract greater value from their video archives through the effective search and retrieval tools provided by D-VEX.”

D-VEX will help the Victoria Police reduce the time it takes to process video collected from airborne sensors. In addition to saving valuable time and resources, D-VEX’s real-time and forensic video exploitation and data management capabilities can easily scale to meet future operational requirements and provide the Victoria Police force with the necessary agility and flexibility to continue to protect the community.

With the ability to run on commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) hardware, D-VEX systems have been deployed worldwide, and are in use by the Australian Defence Force (ADF) on the Shadow 200 unmanned aerial systems, by U.S. Special Forces and by forces in South America and Malaysia.
