Engility awarded $35 million U.S. Navy contract for radar engineering, software and logistics support
Engility Holdings, Inc. of Chantilly, VA announced on August 3 that it has been awarded a $35.4 million contract that will enable the company to continue providing radar engineering, software support and logistics services for the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) – Port Hueneme Division (PHD). The award is a follow on to a contract originally won by TASC, which was acquired by Engility in February 2015.
Work on this contract, which could have a cumulative value of $53 million if all options are exercised, will be performed at the NSWC PHD Dam Neck division’s Ship Defense and Expeditionary Warfare Detachment in Virginia Beach, Va.
Under this program, our team supports all rotating and surveillance radars that the U.S. Navy deploys. Specific services that Engility professionals are currently providing include, in-service engineering and acquisition engineering; integrated logistics support; software support; installation services and coordination; programmatic and project management support; and staging facility and warehousing support.
“We are honored by the opportunity to continue serving the NSWC and this important mission, which we have supported for more than 20 years,” said Engility President and CEO Tony Smeraglinolo. “This renewal solidifies our in-service engineering, acquisition engineering and logistics capabilities in any and all locations where the U.S. Navy utilizes its surface ships and submarines.”
The cost-plus-fixed-fee follow-on contract has a 12-month base with three two-month options.
