DNI releases updated budget figure for FY 2015 appropriations requested for the national intelligence program
On November 21, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) released updated budget figures for FY 2015 Appropriations requested for the national intelligence program.
Consistent with 50 U.S.C. 3306(a), the Director of National Intelligence disclosed to the public on March 6, 2014, the aggregate amount of appropriations requested for Fiscal Year 2015. The amount of $45.6 billion excluded funding required to support overseas contingency operations.
That disclosure was updated June 30, 2014, to include an updated aggregate amount of appropriations requested for Fiscal Year 2015 of $49.4 billion.
The June 30, 2014, disclosure is now updated to include funding in the Overseas Contingency Operations Budget amendments of November 10, 2014.
The updated aggregate amount of appropriations requested for the FY 2015 National Intelligence Program is $50.4 billion.
Any and all subsidiary information concerning the National Intelligence Program budget, whether the information concerns particular intelligence agencies or particular intelligence programs, will not be disclosed.
Beyond this disclosure, there will be no other National Intelligence Program disclosures of currently classified budget information because such disclosures could harm national security. The only exceptions to the foregoing are for unclassified appropriations, such as the Intelligence Community Management Account.
