DIA seeks sources for access control and escort services

DIA 112On August 25, the Virginia Contracting Activity posted a sources sought notice for Access Control and Escort Services. Responses are due no later than 5:00pm CDT on September 9.

The Virginia Contracting Activity (VACA), on behalf of the Defense Intelligence Agency/Missile and Space Intelligence Center (DIA/MSIC), Building 4545, Fowler Road, Redstone Arsenal, AL 35898-5500, is seeking sources for contractor support services to provide unarmed personnel to perform access control to Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) and secure areas controlled by the Missile and Space Intelligence Center (MSIC), support Intrusion Detection System (IDS) monitoring and response as necessary, man Access Control Points (ACPs), perform classified waste collection/removal/destruction services, and escort uncleared personnel at The Richard C. Shelby Center for Missile Intelligence, or other secure areas on Redstone Arsenal used to house MSIC assets.

A copy of the unclassified Scope of Work is attached to this notice. After review of the SOW any contractor thinking they have the capability to perform the effort should submit proof of their experience, technical capability and past performance related to the services described above to April Paul, contracting officer, april.paul@dodiis.mil NLT 5:00 p.m. central standard daylight savings time, Friday 9 September 2016. The NAICS code for this effort is 561612.

The contract period of performance shall be a one-year base period plus four, one-year options that may be exercised at the Government’s discretion. Offerors must also be registered in System for Award Management (SAM) Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database to conduct business with this Government organization. Place of performance shall be at the Missile and Space Intelligence Center, Building 4545 Fowler Road, Redstone Arsenal, AL 35898-5500. While the Scope of Work for this effort is not classified, a TOP SECRET facility Clearance is required and personnel physically working in the MSIC facilities must have a TS/SCI Clearance.
